Dr Amitendu Palit is Senior Research Fellow and Research Lead (trade & economics) at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) in the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has been at NUS since 2008. A trained economist with noted expertise in international trade, political economy, public policy and the Indian economy, Dr Palit spent more than a decade in India’s Ministry of Finance, before moving ISAS-NUS. He is an Associate of ISPI Milan and Adjunct Faculty at CWS in Delhi. He belong to the expert group of the World Economic Forum (WEF). He has written and edited several books and academic papers is a regular contributor for leading Indian and regional media. He features frequently as an expert on CNA, Bloomberg, BBC and other media.
